2008 QAM/QFI Medical and Dental Missions

The Quezonian Foundation, Inc., and the Quezon Association of the Midwest will sponsor another Medical and Dental Missions in summer of 2008. The venue will be at the following towns:
June 3- Pitogo; June 4-Unisan and June 5- Padre Burgos, all in the province of Quezon.
The medical mission will be for consultation and dispensation of medicines as prescribed and distribution of multi vitamins for children and adults. The dental mission will be extraction of teeth as needed. All services and the medications will be provided for free for those who are most in need from these towns.
The organizations will launch a new project, assisting the communities in the fight of Tuberculoses. It will be launched at the same time during the missions.
Volunteers from the United States and from the respective towns will assist the QFI/QAM in serving the communities. The provincial government will provide assistance in transporting the volunteers from each town together with the medicines and supplies.
The medicines and supplies came from MAP International of Georgia charging only service fee in processing the supplies. UNILAB Philippines will co-sponsor the mission by donating medicines and supplies together with personnel support.
In addition to sponsoring medical and dental missions, QFI assisted APO Midwest Alumni Association in procuring medicines and supplies from MAP International to be used in their sponsored medical and dental missions to be held in Cebu on June 9 through 11, 2008.
