Quezonians, Going Home In 2003!!

Vernon Hills, IL - In 2003, various organizations from Quezon
headquarters in the USA will continue its commitment to public
service in our communities. Number of volunteers will go home to
perform public services to their respective towns. Here are some
scheduled in our 2003.
February 2003: Baler Association of the Midwest and the Quezonian
Foundation, Inc. will Co-Sponsor Medical Mission in Baler, province
of Aurora. Clinics will be set up in Angara Hall on February 20
through 22, 2003. The mission will provide consultation and dispersal
of Medication as needed to those who are most in need from the
town of Baler. Practicing Physicians, nurses and other volunteer
from the United States and their counter parts in the Philippines
will serve the community of Baler during this Medical Mission.
Its president, Mr. Sonny De Los Santos heads the mission.
March 2003: Pagbilao Medical Association in America (PMAA) will formally donate
40 plus computers and 4 printers to Pagbilao Public School System. Coregis'
Inc, employer of the association's Vice President Manny Batocabe, donated
the computers to PMAA. The School systems in Pagbilao and PMAA agreed that
students and young adults from the town of Pagbilao would use the computers
as learning tools to use computers, its programs and applications.
Formal turnover will be made by it's President, Gene Gudani, Vice-President
Manny Batocabe, Business Manager Lucy Lorezca and Trustees Dr.
Ferna Ayala and Ted
Lorezca.
Instructions how to use the computers and its programs will be
provided by some volunteers from the United States to teachers
and others who will teach the students just after the turnover.
June 2003: Lucena Association of the Midwest (LAM) and Quezonian Foundation,
Inc. (QFI) will co-sponsor Medical, Dental and minor surgeries in Lucena
City. The clinics and services will be set up at the Outpatient facility
of Quezon Memorial Hospital in Lucena City on June 5 through 7, 2003.
The associations already lined up volunteers from the United States
and the Philippines who will serve during the three-day mission.
The mission will provide consultation, dispersal of Medications,
as needed, extraction of teeth to those who are most in need from
Lucena and all of its Barangay's.
Its president, Mr. Bolet Dela Rosa heads the Medical and Dental
missions. |
