The Quezon Province Association (QPA) Eastern USA announced the opening of nominations for Ten Outstanding Fil-Am Quezonians (TOFAQ) in recognition of their outstanding achievements in community service and or pursuit of career in the United States and Canada.

Mac Villapando, president of the association remarked "this is the first time that we will offer recognition for our distinguished kababayan and we are hoping that their achievements being made public will serve as inspirations to others.  We know that there are a lot of them who deserve recognition we plan to do this every year or every other year until we called everyone who deserve service recognition."

Basic requirements for an individual to be nominated are as follows:

Formal dinner dance hosted by QPA to honor the awardees is planned to take place by April 2003 and details of which will be announced later.
